The Traffic Division is dedicated to providing professional traffic safety services throughout the City of Colton. This is accomplished through education and enforcement. Traffic officers focus on reducing the number and severity of traffic collisions by reducing speed, high-risk violations, sobriety and traffic safety checkpoints, driver and pedestrian education, and presentations on traffic safety to the public.
Included are defective equipment violation enforcement, commercial
vehicle violation enforcement, and traffic hazard notification.
