Mar 24, 6:45 AM. 1600 block of East Washington
Officers responded regarding a male calling 911 in distress, having a heart attack. Colton Fire also responded, but by the time paramedics arrived, he was in full arrest. Paramedics were unable to revive the subject and he did not survive. Report # 14-01463
Mar 22, 4:28 AM. 600 block of West Mill St
Officers responded regarding a traffic collision. The driver was driving westbound on Mill St and drove off the roadway striking an electrical pole and shearing it off at the base, and then he struck a parked vehicle. The driver was uninjured but transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for precautionary measures. The driver was found to have been driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and was arrested for DUI. The city Electric Department and the Streets Department were called out for the downed electrical pole in the roadway. Report # 14-01437
Mar 19, 6:23 AM. Colton High School on Valley Bl
Officers responded regarding an attempted robbery. A female secretary arrived at the school and was walking toward the office when a Hispanic male, who was riding a bicycle, attempted to take her purse by force, causing her to fall to the ground. Officers conducted an area check but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was not injured and no property was taken. Report # 14-01389
Mar 15, 8:20 PM. Linko's Bar on Valley Bl
Officers responded regarding an assault. A Hispanic male adult struck his wife and a male victim in the head and face with a glass mug. Both victims sustained contusions and lacerations requiring emergency medical care. The suspect fled prior to officer's arrival. Investigation is ongoing. Report # 14-01316
Mar 15, 7:46 PM. Area of Rancho and C St
Officers responded regarding a subject with a gunshot injury. A Hispanic male adult arrived at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center emergency room seeking treatment for gunshot to the groin area. The suspect was uncooperative with officers, but physical evidence suggested that the gunshot originated from inside suspect's pant and was an accidentally self-inflicted wound. Report # 14-01328
Mar 14, 6:55 PM. Area of Colton Av and Mt. Vernon
An officer was responding to assist other officers attempting to detain a combative subject. During the response, the officer was injured and taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical C enter emergency room for treatment. Report # 14-01314

An officer was on routine patrol when he saw a Hispanic male adult who was walking in the roadway, approaching and yelling at passing cars. The officer stopped to conduct a pedestrian check and the subject became combative. The subject was taken into custody for evaluation. Report # 14-01315
Mar 13, 4:35 AM. Area of San Bernardino and Meridian
An officer was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle fail to stop properly at a Stop sign and he attempted to conduct a traffic stop to address the violation. The driver fled and a short pursuit ensued. The driver was taken into custody a short time later and the vehicle was found to be reported as stolen from Rialto. The suspect was booked at West Valley Detention Center on charges of grand theft, auto and evading arrest. Report # 14-01283

Officers responded regarding a Code enforcement officer being attacked by a resident. The suspect was located and arrested, and the victim was taken to Arrowhead regional Medical Center for her injuries. See Press Release Report #14-01270
Mar 11, 5:38 PM. 1000 block of Forest Dr
Officers responded regarding a missing juvenile. The juvenile did not come home from school at the normal time and had not been heard from. Officers started a search assisted by San Bernardino Sherriff's helicopter, 40 King. At around 6:50 PM, the juvenile was located and returned home unharmed. No report #
Mar 10, 12:33 AM. 700 block of North 9th St
Officers responded regarding an assault. The adult female victim was smoking a cigarette on her porch when she was approached by a Hispanic male adult suspect who asked the victim for a cigarette. The suspect produced an unknown bladed weapon and slashed the victim once across the lower abdomen causing minor injury. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. Report # 14-01225
Mar 9, 12:34 AM. Area of Pepper and Valley
Officers responded regarding a DUI Hit and Run Collision. An intoxicated driver lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, and collided with freeway sign. The suspect was observed staggering about by witnesses at a nearby business and found to be the registered owner of vehicle. The suspect attempted to run from officers but stumbled and fell to the ground, striking his head on asphalt and causing abrasions. He was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. An intoxicated female passenger was released to the care of family members. Report # 14-01208
Mar 7, 11:24 PM. Fantasy Bar on La Cadena
Officers responded regarding an arson. 2 Hispanic male adults were ejected from the bar for disorderly conduct. One suspect then set fires on three employee vehicles. A male accomplice assisted in the crime as the driver of a getaway a vehicle. The crime was interrupted and subjects were detained by employees of the business. Suspects were booked into jail on arson charges. Report # 14-01188
Mar 7, 8:13 PM. 2400 block of South La Cadena
Officers responded regarding a domestic disturbance. The male swung scissors toward the female and stabbed a hole into the drywall and fled location. Report # 14-01184
Mar 6, 3:38 AM. Area of I-215 and Highland Av
Officers engaged in a vehicle pursuit that reached high rates of speed. At the termination of the pursuit, the suspect attempted to run from the officers and had to be taken into custody by force. The suspect was booked at Central Detention Center. Report # 14-01134
Mar 4, 10:04 PM. 1200 block of North Rialto
Officers responded regarding an unknown problem. The caller advised that there was an unresponsive female subject at the location. The adult female was found deceased in her home. No signs of foul play were apparent at the scene. The Coroner responded took over the case. The cause of death is undetermined at this time. Report # 14-01107
Mar 4, 8:47 AM. Area of Rancho and Valley
Officers responded to assist CHP regarding a stolen vehicle. CHP air and ground units had a LOJACK hit on a vehicle reported stolen in the area of Colton. Colton officers located the stolen vehicle and after a short vehicle pursuit, the suspect bailed out of car and ran into a mobile home near Valley. The suspect was located and taken into custody without incident and booked into county jail. Report # 14-01089
Mar 2, 10:35 PM. Area of Rancho and Johnston
Officers responded regarding a fatal traffic collision. A single vehicle was northbound on Rancho and ran off the roadway. The driver's door collided into a traffic light pole and both occupants were ejected. The adult female driver was found deceased at the scene. An adult male passenger was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and was last reported to be in stable condition. Report # 14-01067
Mar 2, 7:56 PM. 1200 block of North Mt Vernon
Officers responded regarding possible burglary suspects. One officer saw a vehicle matching the suspect description and conducted a traffic stop. The occupants threw a backpack out of the vehicle as police followed. The bag was found to contain identity fraud materials. A adult male passenger was arrested and booked into County jail on charges of possession of stolen property. The investigation is on-going. Report # 14-01064
Mar 2, 3:16 PM. 300 block of East G St
Officers responded regarding a welfare check. As the first officer arrived he saw the subject being assisted by another man and the subject then collapsed on the sidewalk. The officer checked the subject and soon began CPR, being assisted by 2 other officers. When Colton Fire arrived, they transported the subject to a local hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition. Report # 14-01061
Mar 1, 2:48 AM. Colton High School on Valley
An officer was on routine patrol when he observed a subject on the High School campus late at night carrying large duffel bags. Upon investigation it was found the suspect had cut the lock and burglarized the ROTC storage structure. Property was recovered and released back to the victim. Mar 1, 1:47 AM. Fantasy Bar on South La Cadena and 1000 block of Rancho
Officers responded regarding a fight in progress. Seven Hispanic male adults were ejected from the Fantasy Bar for disorderly behavior. They drove around the corner and parked near Rancho and Fogg. Several intoxicated males began fighting with each other at the sidewalk and were confrontational when contacted by officers. Two of the subjects were arrested for public intoxication and booked into West Valley Detention Center. Report # 14-01034

Feb 28, 2:19 AM. 2300 block of Steel Rd
Officers responded regarding a collision with minor injuries. The adult male driver lost control of his vehicle and drove over a curb striking a city street sign, and other non-city objects. Report # 14-01025
Feb 27, 3:01 PM. 200 block of East B St
Officers responded regarding a man with a gun. Officers detained several subjects and searched the house and car. A black metal BB gun was located in car. Two suspects were arrested. Report # 14-01016
Feb 26, 8:54 PM. Roadway Inn on RV Center Dr
An officers was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and he conducted a traffic stop. During a consensual search of the vehicle, approximately one pound of methamphetamine was found. The Hispanic adult male suspect was booked into Central Detention Center for possession for sales and transportation of a controlled substance. Report # 14-01001
Feb 26, 5:31 PM. 100 block of South La Cadena
Officers responded regarding a suspicious subject. The first officer to arrive found the subject sitting on curb and he became uncooperative and challenged the officer to fight. The suspect would not listen to verbal commands and stepped towards the officer and appeared to be trying to gain control of the officer's firearm. The officer deployed a taser, however the suspect's clothing interfered and it had no effect. The suspect had to be taken into custody by force and he was booked into County jail for assaulting an officer. Report # 14-00999.
Feb 25, 11:27 PM. Area of Colton and Larch
Officers responded to Kaiser in Fontana regarding a subject that came in with a non life threatening stab wound to his back. The victim claims this occurred near Colton Ave and Larch Ave. The victim was uncooperative and desired no police assistance. Report # 14-00978
Feb 25, 10:06 AM. 200 block of East N. St
Officers responded regarding threats. The suspect had sent numerous text messages to the victim saying he was going to kill himself and when the victim suggested that the suspect get help, he threatened to kill the victim and also police if they were called. The suspect's information was entered as a wanted person and the Detectives division is continuing the investigation. Report # 14-00967
Feb 25, 3:15 AM. 4 West Services on Valley Bl
Officers responded regarding a commercial burglary alarm. Glass was broken however, no entry appeared to have been made. An area search was conducted but no suspects were located. The business contact was informed and met with officers at the scene. Report # 14-00963
Feb 24, 9:36 AM. Arrowhead Regional Medical Center on Pepper
Officers responded to assist San Bernardino Sherriff's deputy. The deputy brought an injured female juvenile to ARMC from Grand Terrace School. The juvenile lives in Colton, so Colton officers investigated and found that there was no abuse and the injury was accidental. Report # 14-00952
Feb 23, 3:25 AM. Area of Fairway and Auto Plaza
Officers responded regarding a single vehicle hit and run collision. The vehicle struck a power pole and sheared a fire hydrant and the driver fled the scene. Edison, Colton Electric, and Colton Street Department responded. Report # 14-00932
Feb 22, 7:46 PM. Food 4 Less on Pepper
Officers responded regarding a theft. The suspect concealed a large amount of store merchandise in a backpack and exited store without paying. The suspect attempted to flee and then fought with officers when they attempted to stop him. The suspect fought with officers during apprehension and one officer was treated at ARMC for minor injuries. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into West Valley Detention Center on charges of commercial burglary and for injuries to the officer during the incident. Report # 14-00923
Feb 22, 1:00 PM. 200 block of North Pennsylvania Av
Officers responded regarding a suspicious vehicle. The caller reported that the vehicle had been left in the alley earlier in the day. When the initial officer arrived, there were five subjects trying to put in a new battery in the vehicle and when they saw the officer the suspects all started to flee but changed their minds and obeyed the officer until other officers arrived to assist. The suspicious vehicle was found to be reported as stolen. Two suspects were arrested and booked on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and receiving stolen property. Report # 14-00918
Feb 22, 12:10 PM. 900 block of East Fairway
Officers responded regarding a theft report. Workers arrived at their job site and found two suspects steeling steel beams. Officers detained one suspect along with his vehicle. The second suspect fled from the scene prior to officers' arrival and could not be found. The suspects were using a forklift they brought with them to load the large steel beams onto their flatbed trailer. They had already loaded 3 beams on the trailer when we arrived. The forklift was discovered to be reported as stolen from Fontana. The suspect vehicle and trailer were towed. The owner of the stolen forklift was notified. The suspect was booked on charges of grand theft and receiving stolen property. Report # 14-00916
Feb 22, 1:32 AM. Arrowhead Regional Medical Center on Pepper
The officer on duty at the hospital responded to the Emergency Room regarding an assault victim. The suspect and victim are known to each other and engaged in mutual combat. The adult female suspect produced a knife and slashed the adult female victim across the mid-torso area. The victim transported herself to ARMC for treatment. Report # 14-00910
Feb 20, 8: 39 PM. Area of Johnston and Rialto
An officer was on routine patrol when he saw a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle reported as stolen. A traffic stop was conducted, the vehicle's status was confirmed to be stolen and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was booked into Central Detention Center for possession of a stolen vehicle and grand theft, auto. Report # 14-00867
Feb 19, 12:45 AM. 1300 block of North Lulitree
Officers responded in assistance to Fontana PD's Crime Impact Team. Fontana PD was looking for a parolee at large in the city of Colton and requested our assistance. The subject was taken into custody at a residence he was known to frequent. Report # 14-00846
Feb 16, 8:36 PM. Area of Mt Vernon and Santo Antonio
Officers responded regarding a vehicle fire. An adult female subject was inside a motor home parked in 1300 block of East Santo Antonio. She was transferring gasoline from a large container into a small container for use in priming a gasoline powered electrical generator when an open flame from the cooking stove ignited the gasoline vapors causing a large flash fire inside the living area. The victim sustained moderate to severe burns, but her husband and adult son escaped injury. Report # 14-00812
Feb 16, 5:11 AM. Area of Santa Ana River at the Railroad Tracks
Officers responded to assist railroad police regarding a collision involving a train versus a pedestrian. A male and female were walking on the Union Pacific railroad tracks as a train approached. The train sounded its horn, but the adult female subject continued walking on tracks and was struck by the train. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. Colton Report # 14-00806
Feb 14, 8:20 PM. Area of Birch St at the Railroad Tracks
Officers responded to assist railroad police regarding a collision involving a train versus a pedestrian. A male and female were standing on the BNSF railroad tracks, arguing as a train approached. The train sounded its horn and the female jumped out of the way but male was struck by the train. The male subject sustained moderate but non-life threatening injuries. Colton Report # 14-00793
Feb 13, 9:58 PM. Area of Pennsylvania and C St
An on-duty police vehicle was involved in a non-injury traffic collision. The unlicensed male juvenile violated the right-of-way at the intersection and collided with a marked police unit. The driver had taken his mothers vehicle without permission. No adult or licensed driver was present in the vehicle. The juvenile was released to his parent at the scene. Officers responded regarding a robbery. The victim was riding his bike on campus after school hours when the suspect confronted him, took his cell phone and fled on foot. Report # 14-00772
Feb 12, 5:35 PM. 1200 block of South Meadow Ln
Officers responded regarding a burglary in progress. Two suspects were seen running Southbound up the hill near the location. With the assistance of Fontana PD helicopter, Eagle-1, officers pursued the suspects into Grand Terrace where they were taken into custody. The suspects were positively identified and arrested. Feb 12, 12:07 PM. Area of Sperry and Valley
A Colton Detective saw a burglary suspect in a vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the suspect failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. Officers were assisted by San Bernardino Sherriff's helicopter,40-King. The pursuit ended on Interstate-15 without incident. The suspect was arrested and booked into County jail. Report # 14-00740

Officers responded regarding a theft report. The victim went to sell shoes to a unknown subject from the internet. The suspect grabbed the shoes and fled in unknown sports like vehicle south bound on Pepper. Report # 14-00723
Feb 8, 11:11 PM. 2100 block of North Rancho
Officers responded regarding a domestic disturbance. A Black male adult suspect came to the location and battered the mother of his child causing injury. The suspect violated a criminal protective order by being at the location and contacting the victim. He was arrested as he was leaving the location and booked into County jail. Report # 14-00672

Officers responded regarding an attempted burglary. Unknown suspects attempted to kick in the front door of residence. The resident witnessed a tan vehicle driving away from the location. Report # 14-00656

Officers responded regarding a burglary in progress. Unknown suspects kicked the front door of apartment and removed property. A neighbor witnessed a subject running away from the location. Report # 14-00648
Feb 5, 4:22 PM. 1600 block of East Washington St
An officer responded regarding a robbery. After getting off the school bus, the victim was pushed to the ground by the suspect who hit and kicked her until she gave up a cell phone. The suspect then fled Eastbound on Old Ranch Rd. The investigation is on-going. Report # 14-00604
Feb 5, 10:04 AM. 2500 block of East Gunnison Wy
Officers responded regarding a home invasion robbery. Two suspects forced the victim inside the house and stole unknown items. Suspects then fled Northbound on Reche Canyon Rd in a dark grey vehicle. Investigation is on-going. Report # 14-00597
Feb 4, 5:55 PM. 900 block of East Washington
Officers responded regarding a burglary in progress. The subject was seen on the balcony of an upstairs apartment. Officers set a perimeter and were assisted by Sherriff's helicopter, 40-King. When officers made entry, the suspect was found hiding on the balcony and was detained without incident. The suspect was discovered to be the son of the resident who was not home and was released. An officer responded to the Police station regarding a burglary report. The victim came to the Police counter and reported that her computer was taken from her apartment, possibly by a family member. The computer was located at San Bernardino City Pawn shop. The investigation is on-going. Report # 14-00570
Feb 2, 11:47 PM. Hampton Inn on 9th St
Officers responded regarding multiple reports of subjects fighting inside a room where children were present. Blood was observed on the door and subjects initially refused to answer the door. Entry was made using pass key and multiple subjects were contacted inside the room. Subjects caused moderate damage to the interior and the room furnishings, and were required to leave by hotel management. Report # 14-00555

An officer was on routine patrol when a vehicle nearly collided with the officer's unit on the roadway. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver stopped but then bailed out and fled on foot. The suspect was stopped nearby and subsequently arrested for DUI. Report # 14-00554

Officers responded regarding a Hit and Run collision. A traffic light was damaged on the Southwest corner. Report # 14-00549
Feb 2, 6:42 PM. Area of Rancho and N St
Officers responded regarding a minor injury traffic collision. A Motorcyclist lost control and ran off the roadway. The motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle and struck a large rock on city median causing injuries. Report # 14-00548
Feb 2, 9:38 AM. Rich Dauer Park on Torrey Pines Dr
Officers responded regarding a stabbing. Two male juveniles called another male juvenile to arrange a buy of marijuana in the park. The two juveniles took the marijuana without paying and tried to get away, but the other juvenile chased them into the park and a fight ensued, ending when one juvenile stabbed another juvenile in the lower stomach. The suspect was disarmed by a citizen and taken into custody when the first Officer arrived. The injured juvenile was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect was later booked into San Bernardino Juvenile Hall on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of marijuana for sale. Report # 14-00546
